Sandi Switzer
Showroom Liaison
I began my design career in Michigan over 35 years ago and moved to Florida 25 years ago to continue my work in the window covering industry. I joined In The Shade in 2009 and have seen incredible advancements in shades, from expanded product lines to effortless motorization options for every budget.
Now semi-retired, I enjoy helping showroom visitors explore the many styles and features available for their homes. My favorite part of this new chapter is the extra time I get to spend with my grandson, who brings so much joy to my life.
Chelsea Hunter
Sales Associate and Designer
With over twenty years of interior design experience, Chelsea knows it’s the little details that complete a space. Her design philosophy balances form and function, with a sharp eye for color, texture, and pattern. She dives deep into every project, ensuring every element, from fabrics to finishes, aligns perfectly with her clients’ vision.
Chelsea’s patient and collaborative approach helps bring her clients’ personalities to life in their homes. Whether traditional, transitional, or contemporary, she creates timeless, effortless spaces that clients love for years to come.
Erika Maya
Sales Associate and Designer
Originally from Northeast Florida, Erika spent 15 years in the wedding industry using her Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management background to design, plan, and guide brides through their big day. She still travels north each holiday season to create and install high-end Christmas décor for her established clientele.
In 2019, Erika pursued a new passion in interior design and relocated to the Treasure Coast, where In The Shade welcomed her to the team. With an eye for color, detail, and style, she has quickly become one of the firm’s standout designers.
Nancy Wright
Sales Associate and Designer
I began my window covering career in the early 80s when PVC verticals and 1-inch aluminum blinds were all the rage. After a few years, I joined an interior design firm and earned my Interior Design degree, becoming the 200th licensed designer in the state of Florida.
Although my career expanded into interior design, my passion for window coverings never faded. I joined In The Shade in 1999, and over the past two decades, I’ve watched both our team and the industry evolve. Today, we help clients understand the full design potential of their window treatments. I’m proud to be part of this team and couldn’t imagine working anywhere else.
